Scout aircore drilling at Verity Resources' (ASX: VRL) Monument project has confirmed a new mineralised trend at the Triton prospect, around 5km northwest of the existing Korong resource in WA's Laverton district. The gold intersected there is supergene in nature and sits at a mafic volcanic–siltstone contact mirroring the setting at Fred's Well, a signature pointing to a potentially higher-grade bedrock source at depth. Soil sampling at nearby McKenzie Well separately defined multiple broad, coherent gold-in-soil anomalies with peaks up to 96ppb gold, making it one of the strongest untested targets in the regional pipeline.
