Si6 Metals looks to update Maibele North MRE
With final assays now in from its 2023 drilling program, Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) is moving to update the Mineral Resource Estimate for its Maibele North nickel-copper-PGE project in Botswana. The revised estimate will fold in results from the recent campaign — 27 reverse circulation and diamond holes for 5,690m across Dibete, Airstrip and Maibele North — along with US$5 million of historical drilling not previously incorporated. The last batch of assays included 3m at 0.83% nickel, 0.18% copper, 0.5% cobalt and 0.36g/t PGEs from 176m, against a current inferred resource of 2.4Mt at 0.72% nickel, 0.21% copper and 0.63g/t PGEs and gold. Managing director Jim Malone says the drilling confirmed mineralisation is associated with the AMT anomalies and remains open in several directions.
