Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) is sending a second drill rig into its Caldera project in Minas Gerais, launching a 10-hole auger program across newly granted licence 830.892/2023 — ground that borders Meteoric Resources' project areas and is considered prospective for ionic adsorption clay-hosted rare earths. The program will run concurrently with drilling already underway on the southern Caldera licence, which is testing the depth of anomalous rare earths returned from surface sampling. Managing director Jim Malone says the licence sits inside the Poços de Caldas Alkaline Complex and abuts Meteoric's IAC rare earths ground, where the company aims to replicate its neighbour's exploration success.
