A validation study covering 16,000m of historical drilling at Verity Resources' (ASX: VRL) Monument project has confirmed high-grade, broad gold intercepts through the banded iron formation hosting the Korong and Waihi deposits. Data collected by operators going back to the 1970s was recalibrated to true widths and brought into a consistent geological and reporting framework, validating intercepts at Korong including 6.7m at 13.15g/t gold from 95m and 5.90m at 7.24g/t from 79m. Director Patrick Volpe said the work lets the company prioritise the parts of the resource capable of delivering the highest returns, with multiple growth corridors still to test along the 20km BIF trend.
