Si6 clears runway for Airstrip drill campaign in Botswana
Si6 Metals has started a combined RC and diamond campaign at its Airstrip copper-silver project in Botswana, beginning with eight holes for 2,500m to test targets thrown up by audio-frequency magnetotelluric and induced-polarisation surveys. Historical drilling at Airstrip has returned 11m at 7.63% copper and 462g/t silver from 52m, and 1.13m at 21.58% copper and 1,023g/t silver from 65m, with the high grades associated with massive copper sulphides. Airstrip sits 7km from Dibete, where a 15-hole campaign is testing untested anomalies within known oxidised zones and where a 2021 magnetic survey outlined a vertical pipe-like feature geometrically similar to the breccia-pipe mineralisation of the Messina copper district 200km east.
