Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) has been granted a 903km² prospecting licence in Botswana's Limpopo Mobile Belt, lifting its landholding in the belt by 45% to 2,868km². The new ground sits south of the company's Maibele North resource and its Airstrip and Dibete copper-silver discoveries, and is considered prospective for copper, silver, gold and nickel. It also lies 10km east of the Selebi Phikwe nickel-copper mine and processing complex — a fully permitted operation with a concentrator, smelter, rail lines and tailings infrastructure that produced 26.6Mt grading 0.58% nickel and 1.03% copper across 36 years before entering care and maintenance in 2016.
