Si6 jags high-grade copper-silver in Botswana
Si6 Metals has hit shallow, high-grade copper-silver mineralisation in the first two RC holes at its Dibete project in eastern Botswana, returning 9m at 1.54% copper and 82g/t silver from 45m, including 2m at 4.2% copper and 268g/t silver. The results come from a completed nine-hole, 1,590m campaign forming part of a staged 10,000m program across Dibete, Airstrip and Maibele North, and correlate to 5 to 10% supergene chalcocite disseminated in amphibolite, with lower-tenor intervals reflecting primary chalcopyrite. Si6 is now testing deeper fresh-rock geophysical anomalies with diamond drilling, some as tails off the RC holes, using a portable XRF unit to guide logging and targeting in real time.
