Gold sniffs for Si6 at new Laverton targets
Si6 Metals has returned early gold indications from a 126-hole, 4,198m aircore program at its Monument gold project near Laverton, testing 26 of at least 60 felsic intrusive targets identified from an aeromagnetic survey. Multi-element assay data shows 18 of those 26 targets carry the geochemical signatures of fertile intrusive rocks, spread across 30km of strike spanning the entire project. Encouraging gold intercepts included 4m at 1.38g/t from surface and 4m at 0.44g/t from 36m, with the Korong intrusive — a circular body 2km across — emerging as the top priority after chemistry placed it in the sanukitoid suite, mantle-derived rocks commonly enriched in gold.
