Christmas comes early at Si6 with broad gold zones in Fred’s Well aircore assays
Final assays from Si6 Metals' phase three aircore program at its Monument gold project in WA's Laverton district have returned broad gold zones at the Fred's Well prospect, with the best hole hitting 24m at 3.24g/t gold from 44m including 12m at 6.35g/t. The 119-hole, 5,636m campaign covered four prospect areas and also delivered results at North Well, where anomalous gold above 0.1g/t was intersected across a 1,500m strike length, with follow-up holes returning 1m at 9.03g/t from 4m. Both prospects sit outside the existing Waihi and Korong deposits, which together hold an inferred inventory of 154,000oz. Si6 is now running structural and geochemical analysis to determine the orientation of the mineralised zones — read the full article for how that work will guide strike extension drilling.
