Si6 hunting down nickel-sulphide bounty in Botswana
Soil samples from Si6 Metals' wholly owned Maibele East and Mashambe prospects in Botswana have returned elevated copper, zinc and nickel, pointing to the possibility of nickel-sulphide mineralisation at depth. X-ray fluorescence analysis has identified ultramafic lithology across the Maibele-Mashambe trend, while work at the Gobajango prospect uncovered overgrown trenches containing ultramafic occurrences and gossanous material coincident with airborne electromagnetic conductors. All three prospects sit outside the company's Maibele joint venture, and Si6 plans detailed mapping, further sampling and ground geophysics to narrow down drill targets. Read the full article for where the joint venture drilling stands and the pegmatite review Si6 is running with the University of Botswana.
