Si6 expands Brazilian lithium, rare earths portfolio
Si6 Metals has completed due diligence and will proceed with the acquisition of around 178km² of Brazilian rare earths and lithium ground, taking a portfolio of 10 tenements in partnership with owner Foxfire Metals, subject to shareholder approval and independent expert review. The tenements form four project areas across three states prospective for lithium, rare earths, gold, base metals and PGEs — four in the Jequitinhonha Valley pegmatite province at the heart of Brazil's lithium reserves, and two in the South Minas Gerais Caldera area neighbouring Meteoric Resources' ionic clay rare earths discovery. Two more sit in the Ceará Pedra Branca region of the Borborema Structural Province adjacent to ValOre Metals' palladium resource, with a final block covering an underexplored 40km² patch of the Southern Amazon near Apuí, where a Foxfire RC hole returned anomalous rare earths from surface through to 88m.
