Si6 progresses early stage Caldera exploration
Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) has identified clay-rich saprolite outcrops at its Caldera project inside the Poços de Caldas Alkaline Intrusive Complex in Brazil, with a saprolitic profile reaching at least 12m in places. The phase one program collected 16 soil, channel and mechanical auger samples across ground underlain by weathered alkaline granites, syenites and granitic gneiss, alongside a review of existing geological and geophysical datasets. Samples are with the SGS Geosol laboratory in Minas Gerais and results are pending, with the company looking for anomalous ionic adsorption clay targets worth following up by auger drilling.
