Si6 goes for gold with air core rig
Si6 Metals has started an aircore program at its wholly owned Monument gold project in WA's Laverton district, drilling 140 holes for around 5,000m across five target areas including the high-priority Korong and Aermotor felsic intrusives. The campaign builds on late-2021 drilling that confirmed 18 targets as prospective for bulk tonnage gold mineralisation — a program that wasn't specifically chasing gold, but returned numerous anomalous zones above 0.1g/t anyway. Earlier work at Korong returned 4m at 1.38g/t gold and Aermotor 4m at 0.44g/t, with structural targets at Triton, North Well and Celia also in this round.
