Si6 Metals (ASX:SI6) expands international footprint with Brazilian REE lithium plays

Si6 Metals has entered a joint venture with Foxfire Metals to acquire a 50% stake across 10 rare earths and lithium licences in Brazil, adding 17,800 hectares to a portfolio that already spans copper, nickel and cobalt ground in Botswana and projects in Western Australia. Five of the tenements sit in the Jequitinhonha Valley "Lithium Valley" district alongside Rio Tinto's Eastern Brazilian Pegmatite Province holdings, Nasdaq-listed Atlas Lithium and ASX-listed Latin Resources, with two more in the Caldera area near Meteoric Resources' rare earths project. A further tenement lies in Ceará and a final one in the state of Amazonas, which the company describes as vastly underexplored. Foxfire will manage the venture, with Si6 committing $1 million of expenditure in the first year and a general meeting to be called for shareholder approval.
