Second pass at Laverton delivers wide variety for Si6
Si6 Metals has completed a second phase of aircore drilling at its Monument gold project in WA's Laverton district — 130 holes for 6,000m across five prospects, following up on targets identified in the first phase late last year. The program encountered a wide range of prospective lithologies with some holes ending beyond 100m, indicating deep weathering along major regional structures the company says are instrumental to Archean lode gold deposits. Drilling also intersected ultramafic lithologies from the Murrin Murrin domain, prospective for nickel-cobalt laterite, along with felsic volcanics prospective for volcanic-hosted massive sulphide mineralisation. Samples are with the laboratory and results are expected within six weeks — read the full article for the structural targets tested at Triton, North Well and Celia, and how the Kurong geochemistry compares to De Grey's Hemi discovery.
