Six Sigma Metals returns high-grade vanadium in Chuatsa surface samples
Six Sigma Metals (ASX: SI6) has returned high-grade vanadium from due diligence surface sampling at the Chuatsa vanadium-titanium project in far north Zimbabwe, with six of eight outcropping rock samples grading above 0.68% vanadium oxide. The program collected 62 soil and eight rock samples across a 2.5km stretch of layered intrusive rocks, with 55% of soils returning above 0.3% vanadium oxide, and the best rock sample delivering 1.14% vanadium oxide, 10.9% titanium oxide, 74.1% iron oxide and 202ppm cobalt. Exploration manager Steve Groves says the results confirm and often exceed historical work by Anglo American in the 1960s, with elevated cobalt across the project adding to its multi-commodity potential.
