Si6 sees new horizon with Brazil acquisition
Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) has received shareholder approval to acquire a 50% interest in four Brazilian projects from Melbourne-based private company Foxfire Metals, covering more than 17,000 hectares across three states and prospective for lithium, rare earths, gold, base metals and PGEs. Si6 has committed to spend $1 million in the first year of the joint venture, with Foxfire free carrying the assets through to completion of a bankable feasibility study. First work will be at the Caldera rare earths project in Minas Gerais — field reconnaissance, mapping and soil sampling to generate targets for later auger drilling — with the Lithium Valley licences to follow in early 2024.
