Si6 Metals starts aircore drilling at Monument Gold Project in the Laverton Tectonic Zone, Western Australia
Si6 Metals (ASX: SI6) has started a 120-hole, 6,000m aircore program across four high-priority targets at its Monument gold project in WA's Laverton Tectonic Zone. The campaign follows up May 2022 drilling at North Well, which returned 8m at 0.98g/t gold including 4m at 1.84g/t in the supergene profile, with anomalous gold over 1,200m of strike and open in both directions — this program will test 1,700m of that trend. Also being tested are Fred's Well, where grab and rock chip sampling across 700m of strike returned results from above 1g/t up to 39.3g/t gold, and strike extensions of the Korong felsic intrusion, where Syndicated Metals drilling in 2017 hit 5m at 0.48g/t along the intrusive-volcanic contact. A further 1,600m of ultramafics interpreted to extend from Glencore's Murrin Murrin operation will be drilled for nickel-cobalt potential, with results expected from ALS Kalgoorlie after completion in early November.
